My dad was in the Army for 4 years, so he's not a retiree. Is he still considered a veteran? Can we join NFCU?

A veteran is simply one who served.Length of service isn't a consideration. But yes, check their site for membership requirements.

After live chat with a NFCU rep I was told that veterans aren't "usually eligible" to join if they did not retire ;(
