NFCU nRewards Graduated!!

Hi everyone!

So my bankruptcy was d/c'd in July last year. I opened my NFCU secured card in late July with $300. I haven't kept much money in the account, but used the card a lot and made multiple payments a month. I think the most it reported with was $20. My 7th statement cut on the 22nd and when I logged in, it was still saying $300, so I figured it would just be longer maybe due to my BK. Nope!! I logged in yesterday to check my balance and I swear, I didn't even notice the huge jump to $2000 in the CL. What caught my eye was the name "CashRewards" but it took me a few seconds to process it because I went back to the main page, haha. Then, I blinked and said (literally out loud), "What? Did they change it?"

Sure enough, they did. From $300 to $2000 Cash Rewards unsecured card 7 months after BK. I couldn't believe it! Smiley Happy EQ 9 score on NFCU has me at 650, btw. I turned off FICO for a while because I was moving, etc but my signature now lists the current scores. My plan is to wait until I've closed the Indigo and a year has passed since BK, plus a few inquiries have dropped off, before I try for a 2nd card (I've heard NFCU might not approve before 1 year post BK for a second card).

Yay!!
