hello everyone I opened an account with NFCU 91 days ago and was granted a $1k cc, I have currently only 10 months history with the following cards
Amazon Store Card at $6000
Discovery at $3000
TD Cash at $400
Citi Secure Diamond at $400
GS Apple Card at $5500
Self Loan at 8/12 month mark
and Navy at now $3000 should I recon for a higher limit and should I close the Citi and TD card?? My TD cash CC limit is low and dont use it and don't want a HP to raise the limit, my Citi secured card shows no sign of graduating soon 😢 I want to hear your thoughts! Thanks in advance.
Forgive me, I have no experience with those two cards you mentioned to be axed.
Others may assist but that Citi Card if not bucketed may become accessible for SP incrases after graduation.
Congratulations on your credit limit increase from Navy!
You have a nice line up of cards there that can be kept for the long haul (to keep and use) that can help in with your average age of revolving account .ie Discover, Apple and the Amazon card.
Thanks I try to use them all for all my expenses and so far would love to keep them all with the exception of TD bank, I'll keep it in but wont see much love with that CL and will see if Citi graduates my card at 1 year mark, which I doubt since I have applied for other CCs since getting it
I love my TD Cash card. Its no annual fee so I wouldn't close it as it costs you nothing to have it age and who knows? Maybe you ask them for a CLI at some point. I have a $13,000 limit with them so I can tell you they're not scared of mid-sized limits.
That's terrific! Congratulations on your CLI approval!! 🎉🥂
Grats on your NFCU CLI
Most open a second card after the 91/3 and sometimes the SL can be 25K, depends on your overall profile.
