You can apply for a first time CLI after 91 days and after 3 statements have been generated.  After you receive a CLI, then it's 6 months to ask for one again.

I'm focused on a single NFCU card and hope to attain an adequate starting limit on my first (and perhaps only) card with them..

The specific use case I have in mind doesn't afford time to grow a CL and wish to confine the debt to a single card.
