Navy Federal makes it really hard to stay in the garden.
I applied for a cli for my GoRewards card, since we have the new credit score reporting and it went from 5K to 10K. Nice jump figuring just got the card 11 months ago. While I was talking with a very friendly CSR, she asked me if I was interested in anything else. I said that I already have the Checking Line of Credit and Cash Rewards card that just gave me a cli 3 months ago and she said why not look and see what can be done, so I ask if it'll be on the same pull and she said yes. Well.... I was given a cli to 30K , a 5K bump. I was feeling really good and thanked her for all her help and she said not a problem. Then she asked me... care to go for the hat trick? I asked her what she meant. And she said would I like to apply for another card and I said I have 2 already now with 40K of credit on them. I'm guessing that I'm at the limit. She said you never know. So, thinking she might know something that I didn't, I said "Sure". I asked which she thought I should go for and she said that looking at my file, she thought that the Signature Flagship would be a nice addition. So once again I asked, "Same pull?" She said yes, so what the heck... figured that I'd try. What's the worst that can happen? A soft pull no? Ok... so, after about a minute she says..... "Congratulations! You've been approved for $25,000" Wait... what? Between the other two I got 10K and I figured that was all I'd get but she comes back with another card for 25K? I accepted and said thank you.
