Hi! I was approved for the Nrewards secured card towards the end of 2019. This was a little over a year after a Chapter 13 discharge. My card graduated to a Cashrewards card with a $2,000 credit limit. They kept offering me automatic increases occasionally. I think the next one was $3,500. Then it increased to $5,000. Then last night I noticed that they increased it to $7,000. The point of this post is to give others hope. I know I felt like we would never recover from our 5 year bankruptcy. Hang in there..Keep making payments on time and gradually your score will recover.
Congrats on your NFCU Cash Rewards auto-increases . . . best wishes as you continue your credit rebuild and thanks for encouraging myFICO family members!!!

Congrats on your auto increases!
I recently requested an increase, but was declined. Currently waiting on the denial letter, but this post is very encouraging. Thank you for posting!

Congratulations on the NFCU CR Increase!!
Congratulations on your NFCU CLI!
Freshstart26,
Congratulations on your CLI and your rebuild. It's great to people having successful rebuilds after going through bankruptcies. I know myself after recovering from a Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
As you have had auto CLI's, did your APR decrease as well? If not you should call the credit card department and ask for an APR review to lower your rate. I've don't regularly over the years, and I'm now at the lowest rates on my cash rewards and my Flagship cards.

Congrats on your NFCU CLI! 🎉
Thank you @Guyatthebeach !!
I just read the suggestion about asking for the interest rate to be reduced. Last night I asked for a product change (cashrewards to flagship). Anyway, I did not ask for a lower rate (did not think to ask) but they lowered it on their own. I had 17% (?) and they lowered it to 9.99%.
