Re: New Amex customer

Cap1 credits my payments quickly

my problem is both my cap1 cards have low limits and if I make a big purchase I have to wait until it posts to make a payment.
which seem to take longer the closer you are to statement closing day.

with chase I can have a 0 balance, make a 500 dollar purchase, head to the app and make a payment for 500 and they post at the same time

Re: New Amex customer

It took me a few days to be able to setup my payment account. Some account features only work once the card is in your hand which isn't the best experience but it is what it is.

@Creditwiser

Are you paying from a Capone account? That's the only time I've seen immediate credit.

Amex does immediate regardless of where it's coming from.

My Cap1 available credit amount updates on my online account home page immediately after I make a payment from a Chase account.  It wasn't always this way, as I remember it taking longer in the past.  Not sure when this changed.
