So I applied for membership at Navy Fed on July 12th , got approved and set up accts , funded them apped for the Cash Rewards bc I had an offer on my online acct. So it took about ten days and alot of leg work on my end to get my accts unfrozen and once I did I checked to see what had happened with my app.for the cc. Well come to find out it was voided . Even thought I got a HP for it . I had to ask them could they plz remove the HP.from my reports or use the same one for a new app , they agreed to pull the first HP back , which it's been 2 weeks and I haven't seen it happen yet .
So on to yesterday, after spending the last 8 mths hard core rebuilding and repairing my young aND dumb days . My last baddie was removed from my TU and I got a nice increase on my score . It went up about 50 pts for TU . Which brought me to 616 , I know , I know that's not great but I am DAMN PROUD OF THAT considering it was in the 400s just at the beginning of this year . I was planning on waiting to reapply for the CC until next mth when my SL comes out of default so I knew I had the best chance but I went ahead and did it . And again got the 24 hr review message ..Sigh..
Waited 24 hrs still nothing, then around 5 this evening I got a secured message and it was declined 😢 but I already took 2 HPS for this card so I wasn't gonna let it go that easy . Sent them a secured message telling them all the success I have had in the last 8 mths and just asking for them to plz reconsider .
Got a message back asking me about my income , they said In order for them to do a recon I would need to answer their questions , which consisted of what was my household income from , how much it was , how much they were responsible for paying my bills and asked if needed could I send proof. I'm am a stay at home mom and my fiancé is the provider , I told them his wages and that we have a joint checking and savings at two diff credit unions , I said I could sent pay stubs and bank statements if needed. Not even 30 mins later they sent me another message , I figured they wanted proof so I was already scanning in my docs to send them lol but nope the said I was APPROVED FOR 500 SL ! I am so happy to have my foot in the door I don't even care about the SL bc I know it will grow , and not to mention this is my FIRST UNSECURED CL. So YAY im happy . It was alot of work tho lol .
So now my fiancé and me both have gotten our very first unsecured approvals from them in the last few weeks! And if it wasn't for this forum I would have Never had the knowledge to even do what I have done so far with everything. You guys rock!
