Hi everyone I received what I think is a nice approval so I’m posting about it with datapoints that might be helpful for others.
I applied for the U. S. Bank Altitude Reserve on Saturday January 28th at 11:30 in the morning. I wasn’t expecting an instant approval but I decided to app over the weekend anyway. I thought I probably had a fifty-fifty chance of an approval. I thought if I was approved I’d get the $5K minimum CL. I received the 7 to 10 day message.
Today (the next Monday) at 12:45 pm I received an approval email. I certainly wasn’t expecting an answer that quickly. I was approved with a $15K limit which I believe is pretty good for Socks Bank.
Here are the datapoints:
I bought a home and closed on May 31st. I had refrained from apps for over a year prior to my mortgage closing. After I closed on the new home I applied for a bunch of cards and was approved for the following:
-6/1/22- Amex BCP (BCP means birth control pill 💊 to us nurses) 😀 $30K
-6/15/22 U.S. Bank CashPlus $2K. Instant approval
-6/19/22 Elan MaxPlus Pegasus Bank (pretty card) $500. My prettiest card and my very lowest limit. Applied the same day as I did for the CashPlus but it went to review and wasn’t approved until the 19th.
-6/22/22 GM (Goldman Sachs) $12K. Instant approval.
-7/9/22 Amazon Prime Visa (Chase) $6K. Went to review.
-10/7/22 AAA Daily Advantage (Comenity Bank) $8K. Instant approval.
-11/4/22 Target MasterCard $2.5K. Instant approval.
I also got a number of denials (5) including USAA (my goal card) but I won’t list them here. If anyone wants to know I will post them for you.
So for new accounts (not counting the mortgage) I was:

I had 10 inquiries in the last year on Experian which is what they pulled.
Experian FICO 9 was 747.
Of note - In July (soon after I opened my CashPlus card) I opened a U. S. Bank Checking account and I set up a direct deposit for $1K a week to meet the checking account SUB. I kept the money going into that account after a met the SUB and it grew to about $16K. Then I decided I’d just pay my mortgage from that account. Right now the balance is about $17.5K and it grows by (after I pay my mortgage) about $400 a month. I also applied for the Flex Gold card when I opened the checking account (why not?) but their answer was: “because we’re going to deny you”. 🙄
I’ve also locked my reports twice and requested CLI’s on my CashPlus and Pegasus cards but all I received were letters asking me to unlocked my reports.
Income is $200K

I have no idea what an RTR is but I will find out and I will set it up. Thank you for the warning about restaurant charges. I'll make sure to just keep using my Savor card for restaurants.

It's a nice club to be a member of (even if they let riffraff like me sneak in)... your official robe is on the way, and it won't take you long to learn the chants.
