02/15 - Amex Everyday, $12,000 (Started $2k, 3x CLI at 61 days, 2x CLI at six months)
02/15 - Discover It, $2,250
03/15 - CCB Overstock store card, $2,400 (Soft pull!)
04/15 - Chase Freedom, $3,200 (pre-qual'ed and approved in branch)
08/15 - Mazda Capital (Chase) Auto Loan, approx $20k, 72 months at 4.74% (Brand new Mazda3 i Grand Touring, my first new car!) ($1k cash and $4k of my down payment made with Amex Everyday utilizing the 0% intro APR, paid off as of last month!)

01/16 - Wal-Mart Credit Card (Synchrony), $1,600
01/16 - CareCredit (Synchrony), $9,600 (CLI from $2,000 to $6,000 via CSR, then to $9,600 via automated system)

01/16 - GameStop Credit Card (Comenity), $500
01/16 - Target RedCard, $300
Total available credit: $53,250
PlayStation card (Capital One) currently under manual reconsideration through EO
Amazon Rewards Visa (Chase) currently under review
So, given all of this, I currently have WAY too many inquiries on all of my reports, and my AAoA obviously sucks. I hope to be able to garden this for a couple of years before refinancing my auto loan, and a couple more years before buying a home, and then maybe my next car a year or two after that. My two questions:
1. Think these cards will "grow" with me if I continue to use them responsibly?
2. Think I might get AA from one of these CCC's after all of these new accounts and inquires? I hope not, LOL! I always pay on time, no baddies.
Regardless, I think I definately NEED to enter the garden now. I realize I may have gone a bit overboard! ![]()
Congratulations on all the new credit, and thanks for listing all that out in a readable format!
Your Freedom card is an interesting situation, 6th card in under 24 months, yet it was in-branch. I am hopeful this makes a difference because I don't want to wait until late 2017 to go for CSP ![]()
The US Bank Cash Rewards is a good way to build some history with them, grow this card, then if it gets to $5k see about a PC to the Cash+.
The AMEX cards you know can grow, but with the existing $12k and two $2k starters, you may have to work those for a while before getting more CLI.
I would not suspect you are going to see any AA. The limits on these cards are not high, so there's not much room for any CCC to CLD. Just use them responsibly and things will be fine.
Awesome! Thanks for the data points. I really wanted to know how others progressed from 0 credit to a bunch in a short amount of time. Great to know that I'm not alone on this journey. Congrats!
Congrats on your success!! ![]()
Congrats!
I had several CC's within a year before applying and getting a Chase Freedom card. My daughter had over five as well when she applied. I do not think that this five under 24 month rule is set in stone. lol

yes but why worry about it
just garden and pay your bills and keep your utilization super low... and in time, when the dust settles, you'll be in good shape
Regardless, I think I definately NEED to enter the garden now. I realize I may have gone a bit overboard!

Congrats on all. And yes, enter the garden ASAP ![]()
