Not AMEX Blacklisted!!!

Hello everyone! It's been about a decade since I've been on the forums. But I wanted to give an update on my credit journey. I got everything turned around in 2011 from my stooge 18yr old self and had a huge bump in my score, so I went on a heater. I got everything I applied for. Blue Cash, Gold, Platinum, along with other cards and lines of credit. Everything went sideways in 2016, and I burned Amex. Blue Cash and Gold with balances. I've read all the threads about it taking years, decades, sometimes not at all about getting back in with Amex. NOT TODAY MY FRIENDS!!!!! After another rehab of the profile, I shot my shot, and voila, APPROVED for Blue Cash Preferred ($5K), and Gold!! I'm over the moon, and know now how to better manage these guys, along with my other accts. Just know my friends its possible with alot of graft and some luck!!

Congrats on the approvals! Can you clarify if you paid your charge offs/collections with Amex before you applied?

Once i got of the blacklist i went from 1 to 4 cards in a year and a half.   They do a no Credit Check prequal, so take your time and build up the relationship.

Sure. I wasn't in the position to pay anything off at the time, so unfortunately I just had to wait till they fell off. My balances at the time were weren't that bad considering($1500 blue cash, <$500 gold) That's been about 2yrs. Hope this gives a little context.
