OMG PenFed Platinum APPROVED!

So after getting a 10k Credit Limit Increase (waited a year to request an increase - 17.5k now) for my PCR, I called Member services if I can apply for another card and to used the HP they made from my CLI and the customer service rep told me NO and that they will pull another one.  I hung up right away and run. Not satisfied that I called back after an hour and this time they told me that they are going to use my existing pull and it’s good for 7 days since it's the same product line. Locked all my Credit Report and applied for Platinum and went to “UNDER REVIEW”. Only going to use this card for that 5% Gas Cash Back. Finally after 24 hours, got a text and it’s APPROVED for 15k.  One Pull for CLI and a new Card. Going back to the garden for 10 months to get out of that 5/24 jail.

I think you get 30 days.  The reps don't always realize or disclose this, but if you apply for a credit card (or CLI) online, the pull is reused.  I was declined for a CLI (and second card) earlier this year, but made the requests within 2 or 3 weeks of each other and only received the initial pull.
