It's hard to say, it may depend on the dollar amount, it may not Amex definitely walks to its own beat

That's a nice limit for you, OP! AmEx is treating you right, haha
No doubt all things considered as soon as a few charges clear, I'll have my SUB. Im hoping to get the 3x cli when im eligible. The link is there but I don't qualify for one at this time. I'll keep pouring the money through it and we'll see how right they get.

I know that didn't mean much in my case so I had the DGF try adding me to her every day card and and it happened! So now I'm kicking around even harder weather or not to app and curiosity got the better of me. I got the EX & TU HP combo I've been reading about the past few days and long story short I was approved for a 3700 SL. Not terrible since I fully expected to get the 1k SL. I was shocked and somewhat surprised but happy nonetheless.
Awesome to hear, especially, getting the $3700 SL rather a potentially bucketed card. And the Reserve is a great card to have in your lineup 😊
In the US there's a relationship between a card's annual fee and the mininum legally allowable starting credit limit so while you can get a $95/yr Delta Gold approval with a $1K SL that wouldn't be the case with a Delta Reserve. As a matter of policy I believe $3700 is the current mininum SL that AMEX extends for the Reserve but it's technically also more than what the regulations require.
@coldfusion you hurt my feelings and popped my bubble, I did a quick search and 3k to 3.1k seems to be the bottom line but you could be right. We will see at the 61st, 90th or 180th day mark I guess.

Ouch. That's a long time! I'm currently at year 8 and just this week started again to receive email settlement offer for optima card, was hoping I was closer to getting back, not sure I can wait 16 years thou.

I would think you're closer than some, if you're getting an offer. I never got it, I think I was almost to the day of the 10 year mark - definitely the month. If getting back into the "good graces" of Amex is your goal, I believe the optima card is your fast track so to speak.

it does feel really good to be back in with Amex. Congrats,
@addicted_to_credit - Congrats on the AMEX approval.

Sorry to have burst your bubble. Look at it as AMEX giving you a vote of confidence by approving you right out of the gate for one of their Top Tier cards. If they thought you needed to prove yourself with a $1k limit card they would have simply denied the application.
