Decided to pull the trigger on Penfed today and here are the data points:
BK DC 3/15
current EQ 691
2 tax liens reporting on EQ
9 INQ on EQ
11 new accts last 12 mo's (all v/mc no store cards)
I decided to call in rather than do it online and I really reccomend that method...at least from my experience.
It took about 30 minutes total but at each step, membership, funding the acct, cc app etc. the rep would verify my identity with additional questions. After the membership was approved and svgs funded, I asked if he would help me with a cc app, told him of bk 2 yrs ago, current score and etc and we discussed best card options. He took all of my info then got the Lending dept on the phone and went back and forth a time or two between me and them...asking additional questions, security, income and etc. I asked for 10-15k. He came back and said we can approve you for 10k today.
I found this process to be nice because I didnt have to upload one documents of any kind...they were able to confirm everything by asking various history verification questions at each juncture.
