That's a great story! My PenFed story is somewhat similar, I did 2 recons and both were denied. In between the recons I drafted a letter and faxed it. Next day, got the welcome email. Couldn't believe it. Congrats on the approval and welcome to the Pen!

Loved reading your post! Im hoping that within the next year or two, Ill have a CC with them. Ive been denied a few times, even on a dbl recon, LOL...But, in all fairness, my denial was warranted (too many new acts and A LOT of available credit)...

So, Ill trim the herd over the next year, and age off some INQ and new acts, and hopefully yield a better result.
