Patelco approval with conditions.

Hello all!

I just applied for the Patelco Visa Gold and was approved, but with the conditions:

Credit Card - Visa Gold Var ($5,000 - $25,000)	A signed Patelco loan application is required prior to final approval
Credit Card - Visa Gold Var ($5,000 - $25,000)	Close Patelco Visa Classic/Visa Gold and transfer balance, if any
Credit Card - Visa Gold Var ($5,000 - $25,000)	Pay direct and close Barclays and Discover accounts
Credit Card - Visa Gold Var ($5,000 - $25,000)	Provide a current paycheck stub or other proof of income for all applicant(s)

I've heard of them asking to close accounts for the debt consolidation loan, but not for the Visa and I dont have any other Patelco products, so I'm a bit confused as to why I would have to "Close Patelco Visa..."  I tried calling the 800 number, but they're closed for the evening. 

Also, where do I find out how much I was approved for and what my APR is? I don't have a log on yet.

I don't know anything about them, at all.  But to answer your question, it does say close accounts, if any.  So I wouldn't worry about that part.

ok. thank you for your feedback! I will be calling at 9am tomorrow for more info. When I find out more about my approval, I'll be sure to post!

They want you to close Barclay and Discover accounts??? That seems extremely strange.

Is this debt consolidation product you are applying for?

It is very weird. Those two are my youngest accounts and I rarely use them. Plus my Barclays is only $500 limit. So I'm not sad to part ways with it.

It is the Visa Gold credit card. Still unsure of my limit.

Personally I'd be very wary of any creditor that put that many requirements for an approval

What's confusing is the second and third stipulations. I don't care about closing those two accounts. They're still young and have low limits. I also don't have any other patelco accounts.
I get the provide proof of income and sign final loan docs part.

Just waiting for 9:00 to roll around so I can call...
