If Synchrony ever lets me back in, this would be the first card I would try to get back. They also unfortunately own Paypal Credit, so I wouldn't be able to get that one either, which is a hidden TL last time I checked.

Well done! Congratulations.

@chalupaman FYI - PayPal Credit is no longer a hidden tradeline - it reports to the CRAs.

Re: PayPal MC Approval!

Congrats! The PP card is one of my favorite cards as it's fuss-free and you get 2% cashback no matter what. Many people are not a fan of Synchrony, but I've personally never had an issue with them.

Sync is typically quite liberal with their CLIs, so I would use the card as much as possible (and pay it off, of course) over the next few months and then try for an increase. I recently receive a $2k bump!

Credit solutions can go over the 10K limit. What I would do ask for credit increase that would bring your total limit to 15K. Ther are couple possibilities one they will give you the full asking amount or give you counter offer you can talk to them and try to get full amount, they will give you the opportunity to except why they offer go for it. good luck.

Update: As of Oct 2021 there are some members reporting that they have been able to obtain CLIs above the 10K limit via the online "Request More" button.

Re: PayPal MC Approval!

Congratulations on your approval! I haven't read all the comments, but I applied for my first CLI after 3 months and didn't get it. So I waited a month or two more and then got approved to $10k (started at $8k). I believe you can try for your first CLI after 3 months or statements, and then it's every 6 months after that. The only thing is they go by your Vantage 4 score, so sign up for their free score and keep track of that.

Re: PayPal MC Approval!

I've often wondered how much weight one's income plays into calling credit solutions & getting an increase? Its been over a yr since I've hit the 10k limit, however I'm low income averaging 28-32k a yr, so I've been a little gun shy in calling them, also I didn't want to possibly draw attention to my account with a possible shutdown. Synch is a bit too trigger happy these days closing accounts on a whim, & another reason why I'm going to be looking into getting another 2% card later this yr incase anything happens with my card. Can someone with my income possibly get a 20-30k CL?
