PayPal MC CLI...$700---$1400

Since the cli button is no longer available online for my PPMC I called the customer service number on the back of my card. Got the automated system and when prompted said "credit limit increase". Robolady understood and asked how large of a purchase was I planning after telling me what I already had available. Told her my purchase was for $1500 but she wasn't having it! Counteroffered me a total credit line of $1400 which basically doubled my current limit. I'm satisfied as I'm not actually planning any purchase but was curious how a credit limit increase could be had without the online cli button present. All in the name of science

Synchrony has removed the credit limit increase option from all their products. At least for me. I have the PPMC, like yourself, the Amazon Store card and Chevron. I noticed this after the web site overhaul over the summer. Synchrony used to be the most automated way to request an increase. Today I used the chat feature for my Chevron card, it was easy, and I verified no hard pull. I requested an additional $500; they gave it to me.

For data analysis, my CC FICO fluctuates from around 780-90’s to as high as 840+. I most pay everything on CC, for points and pay off at the end of the month. My Vantage takes bigger hits. Usually from 820-50s to mid-700s.
