The credit issuers of America have generally decided I'm in the garden for now. Although my record is as spotless as possible, it's only a year old. After getting some pretty good US cards based on my Canadian score, the best I could do was Capital One for $300. I didn't help by applying for too many cards.
Anyway, last month Paypal said I was approved for Paypal credit, so I took it ($1000 SL). I rarely use paypal but what the hell. A couple of weeks ago I needed to spend a small amount and did so. Today I logged in to pay it and it said "You're invited to apply..."
I checked here to verify it's not a pre-approval, but decided one more rejecttion won't hurt. But I wasn't rejected. $5000 SL, which is lots more than I need for my non-bonus-category spending and it bumps my overall limit to 35,800.
As a Canadian it means I have a 2% cashback at Costco card! (They use MasterCard here, not Visa)
I guess this means Apple has lost its shot at me.
I guess it also means I'm now in the garden till someone wants to give me a good sign-up bonus!
I have Amex Platinum for the 5% on airlines and other perqs
Amex Everyday for US large purchases (0% interest for now)
TD Visa for 3% in restaurants
Paypal MC for 2% everywhere else.

Wow, congratulations!!! 😊
Thank you. Want to put a good word in for me with Apple?
Congrats - very nice!
Grats on getting the PPMC

LOL... if only I had such powers!!! 😊
They have my score as 716. I've decided to pursue the record for highest score to be rejected by Apple. Although I don't think my score can rise too much for a year or so. It's held down by short age of credit and too many inquiries.
I am starting to wonder if we are credit twins. I was also approved for PPMC this week, and also rejected for Apple. Though, my PPMC CL is lower than yours, and Apple said my TransUnion credit score is 635 ... not sure what's up with that, as TransUnion's own credit monitoring service says VS is 675 (I don't have a TU FICO score yet). Though we got here in different ways, we are in very similar scenarios with U.S. credit.

Well, I think someone currently beat you to that... I believe there is a father with a score in the 800s that got denied and his daughter got approved. I have to find the post, but his post was last month... 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Congrats !
