Pen Fed CLI

I recently have been on the fence about requesting a CLI from PenFed ( SL $12.5k 15 months ) on my Power Rewards. Late Tuesaday night,  I bit the bullet and applied via their web site.  I hit submit and seemed like forever to me anyways, but in reality was 20 seconds then I get the " Congratulations" ...blue screen of death and computer had to reboot.  Waited until this morning to call and inquire as to current limit as it still did not show up on my account page.  CSR told my that I my new limit was $40k.  I was stunnned and had to pinch myself and re-asked are you sure.  CSR was laughing now and told me that my APR also went down to 12.9 and asked if I wanted to do a balance transfer with no transfer fee ( good for 30 days ).  I happy as could be and off to a hopefully a good season for CLI across the board.  DP's are about 775 across the major bureaus.  This card I also have my entire family on as AU ( no extra fee for this )

Re: Pen Fed CLI

I guess it was a HP on EQ?  I presume it didn't ask how much of a CLI you wanted

due to the 40K shocker.  Congrats!

Super Congrats on your PenFed PCR CLI!!! Smiley Very Happy

Wow. I know how you feel. I had to rub my eyes and make sure

I wasn't misreading what you wrote. And I'm not even the one

who got the CLI. You are!!! Right on time for the holidays. Well done!!! Smiley Very Happy

BTW, I didn't see any other data points besides your FICO High Achiever (760+)

scores across the board. But if you have any interest in Chase cards, think about

the Chase Sapphire Reserve. All things being equal, their baseline requirement

is to already have at least 1 card with a minimum $10,000 limit. You've got that

covered by a factor of 4, so I wouldn't be surprised if Chase comes close to

matching that same 40k CL if not exceeding it. Just some food for thought. Smiley Very Happy

Congrats again on your jaw droppingly massive CLI. Thanks for sharing! Smiley Very Happy

Wow Op!! Congrats! That is a major jump, and you also had a nice start with the initial limit!! I have yet to have a SP increase for them since I got my card in May of 2106, and I have been on the fence about going for the HP request. Nice to see them showing you luv!!
