I've been wanting in with PenFed for a while, but decided to do six months without an app to try and avoid their pyramiding thing. Six months is today, so first thing this morning I signed up and pulled the trigger on the Defender Visa. Instant approval for $4K at 10.24%. EQ pull. Note: They didn't ask for any documents. This is nicely convenient, but a little disappointing. I had everything scanned to pdf and read to go!
After I warmed up my app finger, I took a shot at the Double Cash. Instant approval for $3600 at 16.24%. EX pull. Note: I had a pre qual on their site at 23.24%. This seemed high for my profile, so I apped direct.
Next, since the change credit limit link was appearing in my USAA Mastercard account, I hit it. Bumped from $7K to $10K. EQ pull. Note: This is my 5th account at $10K or higher and, honestly, this amazes me considering my crappy income and dinky spending.
And finally, lest my TU file feel neglected, I tried for a CLI on my BECU credit line. This ended up being a wasted pull. It went to under review for a while, and just changed to not approved. I thought about jumping on the soft pull pre approval for a credit card that's appearing in my account, but decided that consolation was a silly reason to grab a card.
Now I'm done apping forever. I think. Probably. Maybe.

Congrats Cap.. Some nice additions and one subtraction from your profile.. Your scores are looking very good as well! Keep up the good work.
HIgh Five! Well done, CAP, well done!
big congrats to you! those are nice approvals!
Lol this is tempting their pre qualify site shows 21.24 and 23.24 for me before makes me want to app directly but perhaps I should wait for my baddies to fall off in January.

You're in with PenFed! I'm betting they don't ask for docs unless you claim income over a certain threshhold.
That oldest account age is impressive!
Congrats CapTool. Great cards and limits. I wish I was eligible for the Defender. Fantastic card.
