Finally went ahead and joined PenFed last Friday but my damn internet went out as I was applying for the card. I was approved for membership but I didn't have my account number so I couldn't complete the application. Called Sunday morning and a very nice CSR helped me out with my account number and helped me complete th application.
Unfortunately, she got a "PENDING" status when she submitted it. She said that's not uncommon on an application on a Sunday so I should wait at least 24 hours. I had been checking throughout the day yesterday for the "PENDING" status to change, whatever the decision, and again this morning. Still pending. I checked again when I got home from work a bit ago and noticed it finally changed.
"APPROVED"
Yes! I have no idea what my SL is going to be (probably the minimum, I'm guessing) but I'm just glad I was approved. I had been so worried about getting denied and taking an inquiry for nothing. My first EQ inquiry was totally worth it. Thanks to everyone who had suggested PenFed. This community is awesome!
