Since it's been a couple years since I opened a new credit card (other than business cards with Amex that don't require a hard pull), I wanted to see what I might be able to qualify for.
I've been a PenFed member since about 2018, with just $5 in a savings account and their Power Cash Rewards card, with a $5k limit.
I logged into their site this morning and found no existing prequals. I then unfroze my Equifax report, clicked on the prequal link for their Pathfinder Rewards card, and received a preapproval for $10k. I followed through with the application and was approved for $10k at the card's standard 17.99% APR.
My FICO 08 is probably around 675 at the moment, with nothing bad, AAoA at around 6 years, and no inquiries. Income is around $150k annually.
I'm probably not going to use the card at the moment, other than what I need to use to collect the signup bonus and then immediately pay it off, while I whittle away at utilization on other cards.
