I applied for both cards on June 27, 2022. Both went into review. Well the negatively immediately began to set in. Penfed email stated We need the following additional information to complete the processing of your request. The information needed was a copy of my driver's license, my ssn and a copy of a utility bill. I uploaded the documents per their request. NFCU email stated they received the application and will let me know the decision within 24 to 48 hrs. The next day I got a phone call from NFCU asking some verification questions and asked if I submitted the application. She stated that there was a fraud alert on my report and she had to verify my identity. I answered the few questions and the rep said she would be completing the processing later today. I then checked my email and noticed an email coming through from Penfed stating my documents was received. Five minutes later another email came through stating Congratulations on Approval. $3500 SL with 17.99 APR. I wasn't to concerned about the APR because I won't be carrying a balance on this card.
2 hours later I received an email from NFCU stating Congratulations Approved. $22,400 SL with 13% APR. I think I had a pretty good day. 🤣
