@Alaskagurl wrote:Omg! This has to be one hard credit union to get a credit card from. I applied and was denied instantly for like 7 inqs in last 12 months geez...But, I sent a recon fax and it worked. I got the Penfed travel Amex card. I faxed it yesterday and got approved today had to print signature docs and fax it back. I had my doubts reconning Penfed but, didn't wanna waste a hard pull so I typed up this letter and told them how great Penfed was and explained all inqs on report and stated how bad I wanted to get a credit card from one of the best credit unions in the US lol it worked, first credit card limit was $6500.00 then after loan officer chopped it down to $5000.00 it was approved. I, will take it and let it grow, in the garden I go... Penfed, was harder than Simmons First for me. Thanks to all you guys that posted about sending recon letters I didn't really think it would work but, it did.

Thank you, Creditmagic7. I will treat them well.
I just got a penfed savings account with the intention of getting a cc in the future. Does anyone know how to get cash out of a Penfed savings account if you need it in a hurry. I want to park some emergency cash over there but I don't want to be limited to some daily ATM limit if I need a couple grand in a hurry

I opened up penfed checking and savings and cc accounts with them a week or two ago
for checking/savings as a new member penfed told me they will not allow ACH transfers between banks for me until something like 6 months then I can request it to be lifted, and checks are on hold for like 9 days or something

Yeah, you have to wait 6 months
then they will let you transfer 5K a day ACH. When i first got my membership it was only $50 a day for the ACH from an outside Bank
