CONGRATS!!! I'm a few days behind on your post, but was searching PenFed posts and came across yours.  I just opened a sgahred acct and donated to become a member. I had to email them a copy of my soc sec card. They already charged my CFU for the fee, so I'm hoping the ID verification is just a speed bump. Should hear back tomorrow. HOw did you join? Through donation? Also, thereafter, how long till you applied for yournew cc's through them and did you do app them online?  Dis they use the HP for both apps? I also heard you can open a checking acct on that same HP. Any advice? How do you like your card choices? Thanks in advance

I applied through donation as well. I applied for the pathfinder card right after I openend savings and checking. Instant approval for $4,000. I have a lot of inquires in the last 2-3 months and a lot of new accounts! Good luck!

I am in the same boat as you. Similar scores, a bunch of inquiries in past 4mnths. Are you happy with the Pathfinder card? Any others you recommend? You opened a checking acct and a savings acct on top of the donation share acct? HOw long after you became a member, did you open the check and savings acct? Then how long after that, did you app the pathfinder? Thx
