Did an online app last night for a CLI on my Platinum Rewards Visa Sig looking to do a BT from NCFU. SL was $5k and the balance that I wanted to transfer was $5300.00. They offered me $2k and then I explained what I wanted to do and they told me to hold on and countered with a $5k CLI. I declined that because the utilization would be over 50% if I did a BT. Instead I asked if I could get the Penfed platinum cash rewards visa because it gives you 5% on gasoline at the pump. They accepted and gave me that card at $3k and a $2k increase on my Visa Sig. So $5k total for the day is alright for now and I'm very happy with Penfed.
As a side note they also used my original HP for these apps! Also because I have the Thrifty Credit Service (PLOC) I get the extra 2% gas rewards. You have to have one of their other services to get the 5% and I already did. Penfed came through although not exactly what I wanted but I am extremely grateful. Thank you Penfed!
