My wife and I fly Delta Airlines a lot, and I am close to SkyMiles Silver Medallion status. I currently hold a Gold SkyMiles Card (limit $17k), and a SimplyCash Business Card (limit $15k), both of which I received in March of this year. I noticed the current offer on the Platinum SkyMiles Card, which offers 10,000 MQMs and 70,000 bonus miles. The 10,000 MQMs will put me in Silver Medallion status, so I applied for the Platinum Card. I was approved with a limit of $12k! I was a little nervous about applying, as this would be my 3rd AMEX card since March. Total AMEX limit among 3 cards $44k.
A few particulars: Income $195k, EX FICO 8 781, AAoA 3 years 3 months, Util 2%, 4 inquiries, 4 new accounts last 12 mo. DTI 33%. Total credit card limit $139,500.
Congrats! 👍🏾

Way to go! Now buy some tickets with the Plat bad-boy! Multiple Am Ex revplvers are not a problem (I have three). Nice lineup with Am Ex, congrats!
Congrats!
Congratulations on your Platinum Delta Approval! Very nice!
Yes I will cancel it. I would like to transfer the $17k limit on the Gold card to the Platinum card, though That will give me a $29k limit on the Platinum card. I think that AMEX may have restrictions on this, though.
Congratulations on the Platinum Delta StevieB! I personally think you'll be fine transferring your limits over to the new card - you'll just have to leave 500 on your old Delta Gold card and move the rest. Plus, you'll have to wait until your Gold card is 13 months old before you can reallocate any of its limits to another consumer or business Amex revolver. Enjoy the new card!
