Well, I logged onto my account today, to pay my bill. I was just scrolling through my accounts. And, at the bottom, there was a a card with a 1k limit; a Chase Freedom! I guess I had applied, and forgotten about it... Haha. I really wasn't thrilled about the SL. But, sheesh, thought it was pretty neat!
I'm REALLY hoping after this crazy past couple months of apping and opening new accounts, that I do not create any red flags for an AA or something... I mean... I openend A LOT Of new accounts. I've seen some pretty sad stories on here about similar sprees suffering closed accounts and credit limit decreases.
Let's see, openend the following within the past 3, or so, months:
CSP
Chase Marriott
Freedom (Apparently)
BOA BBR
Cap One Venture
Cap One Quicksilver
Citi DC
Victoria's Secret
And, had a good number of CLIs, too.
What do you guys think? Have you had similar sprees, and the dust settled calmly? FICO scores are still pretty high. Just checked Discover's today, and it went UP, to my surprise - 759. And, my utilization is WAY low, like 3-4% low. I'm clear, or no?
Definately a nice surprise.. Congrats. Those accounts are not a lot. And there is a lot that goes into a lender taking AA against a customer. I suggest you let the accounts age a bit before applying for something else..
Congratulations! Time to garden now. To me that would be a lot of accounts, but I have seen way more with others and they are still ok. You should be fine!
