congrats CC, when I saw your thread I got excited thinking the 140k promo was back. I'm waiting for that before applying. I'm wondering if anyone has tried simply SMing them and just asking for the 140k instead of the two night certs? *hint hint*

Congrats CC!  Like Cal, I thought the 140k offer was up, popped over to Chase's website when I saw your thread, saw it was still 2 nights and figured you applied and was hoping the 140k would pop soon and they'd match offers...

I'm getting stir crazy in this garden everyone keeps mentioning, the Cap1 CLI on my Venture sustained me for a bit, but I'm ready for some new cards.  If the 140k offer pops I'm jumping on it, I do need a MR point stasher, but that can wait until my Amex a while until my AMEX nears a year.  The wifey will need an MR stasher sooner as her PRG hits a year in March...

Thanks OZ.. Yes exactly I am hoping for the 140k offer to come around the 15th or 16 of Dec and for them to honor promo by SM when it does come around.. Had to get this app done before Penfed/Barclay's reported to be safe, so caused me to apply a bit earlier than expected.. Even if the 140k offer doesn't come back around which it should I am still very happy with the results and great offer/benefits regardless.

I really think it will come back and wish you luck on getting approved as well as I am sure you wont have a problem with as you have a decent CARS score with chase as myself now with some history.. Just make sure you don't call if you get the two week message Smiley Happy

Awesome! Congrats on the approval CC. Hope that 140k offer shows up soon so you can go after it.

Much appreciated.. I also hope it shows it face and they will honor it once it does.. Was a gamble I was willing to take.. Regardless sweet benefits and 2 nights if not is still a heck of a deal at least in my books, but me thinks you will see the 140k offer mid DecemberSmiley Happy

Re: Ritz - Approved

Congrats on this one as well. Not the 17.5 you were hoping for if I recall correctly but still a nice 5 figure CL. I really want this one for the targeted 50k offer in my inbox that's good through 11/31. Waiting to see how my Ink Plus app goes to decide whether to give it a shot.

@Anonymous have an ink plus app in?  Just make sure you don't have more than 3 applications in their system at one time preferably two..  That is when it seems to cause problems.  My EQ can't take anymore Chase applications for the year as everyone picks on my EQ especially Chase and well comenity among others.  Ya not as big, but made the CL 16.4k by moving some of my hyatt limit over.. So my main Chase Drivers are CSP @ 17.5k and Ritz @ 16.4k.. Spend bonus met on Hyatt so put that down to 5k as that will only be used for the free nights and UR's transferred for additional stays by UR transfers and freedom at a small 1.5k..  Can't complain as Chase has treated me pretty well for my scores and new credit I have gotten this year.. I thought it would be a 20-24k approval tbh, but wasn't meant to be.. It was defiantly review by a person to give such a weird limit with Chase and why it took so long IMO

Lets just say finally after a year of wanting this card - Approved.  I put my application in monday went into two week message and woke up to an approval today.

I won't lie was expecting a bit more of a CL, but needless to say I was approved for 11.4k making my exposure across chase currently at 41k approx.  Was just approved for the Hyatt 3 weeks ago approximately at 17.5k and of course have the CSP and freedom.

This card has been my nemesis or thorn in my side to get approved for as many of you have know.  Anyways hopefully the 140k offer shows its face in the next few week and will SM for the 140k offer.. Just wanted to get my last application in for the year and get acocunt before they saw Penfed/Barclay's as this is the reason for the application before the 140k promo was back.  Thanks for a few of you listen to me moan through PM's during this processSmiley Happy.

This shows DO NOT CALL UW and wait it outSmiley Happy

No more applications for a year at least!  16 HP's on EQ now!  Experian went un-hit sitting at 10 now and TU at 4..  3/3 approvals in the latest round, can't complain, must be doing something right?

Update:

@Moved a tid bit of another card limit over to bring it up to 16.4k now leaving my Hyatt at 5k..  So CSP/Ritz will be my "big boys" Ritz @ 16.4k and [email protected]

Congrats CC. You finally pulled the trigger. You have been on a Roll this year. Much more aggressive than i could ever be. Im not trying to enjoy the Garden and will maybe go for another Chase or citi card Next year. Nice limit for sure. Congrats again.

Re: Ritz - Approved

@Taxi, Thanks!.. Yes it has definitely been an aggressive year for me with regards to CC's..  I have obtained alot and also cut alot out as well.  I am sitting on 16 Major CC's being Visa/Mc/Amex's now.. Would like to get that # down to around 12 by combining limits etc by early next year which I think is very likely what is going to happen.. 3 Cap1's into 1 Cap1.. Getting rid of 2 Amex's next year being Delta/Platinum along with a few other purges when they hit a year.

I plan on being in the garden for the next year after how much my profile got beat up this year, but as you know as well I have wanted this card and I was on a mission and it has been completed.  I have gotten pretty much every card I wanted or could of dreamed up in my wish list.  For this I am happy and very content.  Still only sitting @ around 150k in available credit due to me purging cards as well.

Not really sure why this year has been so successful as my reports still are far from clean, but I won't argueSmiley Happy.  I would venture to guess very little debt, fairly high income along with a decent AAoA and the baddies are starting to age > 4-5 years.

@ CC, you can complete this year with FIA Amex, if they approve you, you can apply for the Visa. They will use the same HP and you will have two twin brothers with the same CL..... something to keep in mind Smiley Wink

@Anonymous thought about it cause I can afford a EXP pull, but not sure if my Experian is good enough for FIA at 705.. Still a few old paid CO's showing along with some really old lates.. Not sure how FIA/BOA would think of these.. Have a chance, just don't know how good of chance I would have?

Yes, they will pull EXP and I think you have a chance with 705. You should try now before all these new accounts start to report. Something to consider. If they approve for the Amex, you know the drill... you need to apply for the Visa Smiley Wink they will use the same pull for both Smiley Very Happy

Ya something to think about this weekend I guess...Dang you make it tough!  I know this is bof/fia issued card.. Wonder if they will take into consideration on approval the money I have with fidelity internments being money market and 401k's along with 403k's or they leave that out of the equation as I have a considerable amount with Fidelity or if Fidelity can nudge them a bit on approval and amount..  I wouldn't think Fidelity would have much say, but I guess anything is possible especially if I go with the private client version..

If you have your 401K with them,  you have a better chance- a golden ticket, but most of the approval lately here were after opening the Management Account. I had a chance to apply for the private client version, but I did not want another card with AF - the same benefits I have  with the other cards that I have.  Something to think about it tonigh, I know this will be a difficutl decision for you, but you are a brave man !!!

Yeah apped Ink Plus mid day Friday. Holding steady at the two weeks message but who knows. I'll just let it play out. I waited until just my approved Disney Premier and auto declined for too many apps Hyatt were the only thing left in their system. I apped as a sole proprietor so more than anything I'm guessing it will boil down to my profile and internal Chase score being good enough to pull an approval. Given my triple 15k approvals I think I at least have a shot.
