Re: Ritz Carlton Approval

Congrats! I was instant approval on Sunday but since this is my first chase card and I dont have a ritz account its taking a long time for me to be able to ask them about anything. I talked with chase fraud department yesterday and asked if they needed any further info from me and the lady said nope they were just waiting for the card to show up in their system.

I thought I might need to verify myself since I gave a different address and she didnt seem to need me to do anything. I pulled my free TU report last night and it did list the address I provided so maybe the other reports have it now as well. I couldnt access them though because their verification questions were non-sense.

Another member informed me that instant approval means no extra verification so ill have to go with that for now. Its just taking longer than I would have expected for the account to be created. Let us know when you hear something about yours and congratulations again!

Re: Ritz Carlton Approval

4th chase card. It would have been 5, but I closed the slate a week after I got it( 1/14). Then transfer the CL to freedom. 3 months later I applied for the Marriott card an 31 days to the date, was approved for the Ritz.

Freedom open 1/14
Slate opened am then closed 1/14
Amazon opened 1/14
Marriott opened 3/15
Ritz opened 4/15

In the garden I go. I don't need anymore cards. Don't want to spook chase, if I hadn't already.  I do push my cards to the limits an constantly PIF. Plus i established banking relationship with them.

Be careful... I thought it was your 5th to, which technically it is..  Grats on the approval though..  I personally wouldn't be applying for any more Chase cards this year.. Just food for thought.  Pretty agressive credit seeking especially with one creditor.  Not meaning to lecture you, just seen as you have to many of these stories.

Re: Ritz Carlton Approval

You are 100% correct. I need all the advice I can get, so I do thank you. I was too scared of this, but I was also wondering if there was more to the story. Meaning, are people using chase for sign up bonuses, GC's or even closing accounts after receiving bonuses. Every month I maintain 1% utilization on all my cards though.

I couldn't resist the app. Although I never stayed at the Ritz Carlton it was a must have type of card in my wallet. I know this card comes with a hefty $395 annual fee, but I'm hoping to earn rewards in other ways to offset it. I was approved for the minimum limit I guess, 5k. It wasn't a instant approval either. I had to call in an verify some information. I would like to thank everyone here for the support I have received.
