A couple days ago I started a thread looking for acknowledgment that I had the criteria to get a CSP. I got a lot of good feedback but some were talking about CSR and how the benefits were better. I didn't look up the minimums for the card and went and applied for a CSR... denial right off the bat...
At that moment I decided to DD for a CSP and hoped it would work itself out as one HP and I would call them to recon in the morning that I made a mistake. I ended up on the phone for 40 mins answering all the questions about my income, why my credit history was short, my income, my business (revenue, how my business did after quarantine and how my business is increasing so quickly) then was told I would receive and answer in 2 weeks.
Now knowing I double dipped and stating I had made a mistake by applying for the wrong card sounded like a valid point, but also the fact that I DDed with the same company I was in fear that I probably made a gigantic mistake and I may look desperate. I also knew I may get blackballed and possibly wouldn't be able to apply for a chase card for awhile. I still stated my case, gave them all the information they needed and was very detailed and informative on my credit, business and why I wanted to not only have chase as my business card (I have a 10k CIP) but also wanted them as my personal daily driver CC.
With that being said I called the the automated # right after I got off the phone, still two weeks. Just 10 hours later I called again and to my surprise the 2 week had turned into an approval and the CSR, well.... it is on a 7-10 and probably will be nothing.
lesson learned, do your research and don't go to far out of your boundaries. You may not get lucky like I did. I still don't know if I'll have 2x HPs.
Luckily I ended up with a CSP with a SL of $5,000.
