Curious here...does your pircture have to be on the card? Does it serve as your membership card now?
Congrats on your approval!

I did get an email that advised me to get my picture taken... when I apped I had my membership number I guess I can use my MC or my store card for purchase.
My store card limit is 9k.. maybe someday they will combine (wishful thinking) both cards

I don't have a store card, but I do have the Sam's MasterCard. They do send it to you, and it will have your picture really small on the back corner (mine is hard to make out, but it's there).
In my case it does serve as my membership card as well, with the membership number and bar-code on the back (so you can scan at the freebie kiosk, etc.). I also find it easier to scan the bar-code at the self-checkout (versus swiping), since if you swipe it will prompt you to insert the card into the reader, even if you're not using it for payment, which seems cumbersome for me. The screen doesn't tell you it can be scanned, but if you simply scan the bar code when it says 'swipe or insert' it does work.

SAMs club MC is awesome... The 5% cash back for using it at SAMs club sure beats Costco!!!
Unless something has recently changed, you only get 1% back at Sam's Club locations. The only time you get 5% cash back is for fuel purchases, and there are even some restrictions to that (i.e. no BJ's, Costco, or Kroger... although I do seem to get 5% back at my particular Kroger for some reason).
This is the reason I'm using Discover right now to pay at Sam's instead of their own card. Since my Discover is a new account (with the cash back doubled) you effective get 2% cash back, which for the moment is more generous than Sam's Club's own card.
Spendid!! Congratulations!!!
Congrats!
Mind is a bit foggy today, I cant remember the procedure. What happens to the store card now that OP has a MC?
congrats

I'm not sure but we will see...I'll assume that the store card will remain open
