This was some time ago, but I was recently approved for a Schwab Amex Investor card. I had been an Amex cardholder for a little over six months, just carrying the basic blue Delta card. I applied mainly because of the sign-up bonus, which was $300 cash back for $1000 in spend over three months, which sounded like a great deal to me. The credit limit was $6K, which may not sound like much, but I am pretty low income at the moment, and this is actually my highest credit limit now by a significant margin.
It was easy to hit the $1K spending limit as I took a business trip soon after getting the card. The only quibble is that I thought the $300 would be deposited directly into my Schwab account, and it was instead added as a statement credit.
I probably won't end up using the card that much unless there is a good Amex offer on gas, which there has been recently.

Congrats on the approval and hitting the sub. As far as the cash back, statement credit is just as good. Just pay the remainder and the money you would have put towards the payment can be transferred to your other account. It's an extra step but it's the same final amount.
