Sears MasterCard Approval...

Hello guys, I decided to apply for the Sears card I have read up on the periodic cashback bonuses that they offer which would be useful to me. I know for the most part they have been targeted but it does not hurt to have another trade line diversifying my profile.

I believe since it is a master card it will report as a bankcard correct? Which will help with the fact that most of my accounts are store cards.

Anyway I was approved for $3,000 they pulled Transunion my scores are all down in my siggy, according to my latest Discover statement my Fico 08 is 740

Wow good job there I'm kind of jealous. Incentives for card holders are great. take care of that thing they will take care of you. In few months you can probably be an easy write in for the Costco as theyre cousins as far as the credit cards

Congratulations but I wonder what will happen with the card if Sears goes out of business this year?

edit: Removed link that is not working. Several recent articles can be found about Sears Holding expressing "substantial doubt" it can continue to exist.

Congrats Dep , MaxEthan I just read an article also about Sears being to the point of going out of business,which is crazy bc Sears is about as much a part of history as American Pie , but if they are broke then they are broke 😳

My guess sa that both Sears and KMart will not be around much longer. They are already closing stores but the bleeding has not stopped. They will have the same fate as Montgomery Wards, Frederick and Nelson and other big retailers. I also understand Macy's is in hot water.

It is kinda sad to hear about sears. On that note, however, it's a sign of the times. The internet is, and will continue to kill brick and mortar stores. In the coming decades the only ones I see surviving and home improvement stores like Lowe's or home depot and grocery stores. Wal-Mart will probably survive as well due to their grocery section. But yeah the clock is ticking on most stores though
