Congrats on your 2 great approvals! Focus on those! You'll get the SM card, I'm sure.
The CSRs are normally pretty excellent for recon on Barclays from what people say.

How long have you had your arrival?
what is your TU?
what were reasons for denial? did you try to move some of your arrival cl?
3 months on arrival.............TU just bumped up 50 or so points so its now at 750....medical collection holding me down for about 2 years, but had it removed. They wouldn't let me move any credit lines, stating it was too new....blah blah blah.......lady from the executive office said she reviewed the phone call regarding my application, and the only thing she could do was transfer me back to an analyst.....im like maybe a senior analyst? I don't think she had an idea of what I was speaking. Call me in a few months and we can revist the issue. Really my goal here was to try to get an application to get pushed through, wait 6 months to a year and get another approved by the computer, so I could maximize two of the same products benefit. Doesn't look like its going to happen this time. the denial was for too many recent inquiries. They wanted to do another HP, but I just got approved for 2 new accounts, ill take my ink, and fidelity amex with the $75.00 bonus ![]()

Thats unreal that they wouldnt approve you. It makes no sense to me theres got to be more to the story. Did you ever burn them?
It does make sense. They have the arrival, and Barclays doesn't like for you to get multiple of their products within a "short" time frame.
Barclay's must really like me I got my two card within 4 months or so

Yeah, and no disrepect towards you, but its like my portfolio is loaded with higher limits, payment history is perfect across the boards. Maybe its AAOA mines at 2 years......I dont know.......sigh -_-
good job on the 2 great cards you got and te great limits, too. Your 2 new cards look to be your highest CL.. Nice....
Barclay's will come around.

Theres a lot of factors that go into limits. Im not sure what my aaoa is it cant be too long I only got my first card in march of 2013. I did have student loans from 2007. What is your current Ulti? What about your DTI?
Recon with Barclay at least twice and I would try a different time of day.
Yup Barclays denied by Ring Mastercard app because i "need to show usage" on my other cards...something like that.

AAOA: 2 years, Utility: 8%, DTI: i would say no more then 10%

Based on the fact you have their Arrival for 3 months with 3k limit is implying they see you as a risky customer (Considering your credit portfolio). I would just wait until you can get an CLI on your current arrival card before apping for the SM card. Or you can just wait until about 1 year of having the Arrival before apping for the SM card. As you know, Barclays doesn't like new accounts (especially multiple accounts from Barclays or many new accounts reported on TU within the last 6 months).
