Small Bump on GM BuyPower Card

Even though Cap-1 told me in January this year that I was at their "max credit line" - which I found out fro another poster that wasn't true - I pushed the luv button to see if I could get a bump on my GM card.

Yup ! $11k to $12.5k

I know this card is not very popular on Myfico, but for me it grows and I've got over $600 banked so far for my next card/truck which will probably be in 2018, so for ME it's a good card.

As far as other Cap-1 cards, I've closed them all and have no use for them at all. I was at a branch Monday getting a Cashiers Check and the manager on duty said, you are pre-approved for a Credit Card 1.5% cash back no AF (I assume it was QS), I said no thanks I have lots of cards, probably too many.

Don't like Cap-1 cards, really like the GM Card backed by Cap-1 - go figure....

Congrats. All depends on what your goals are. cash-back cards you are simply paying less for stuff. If you suck at saving money (me) the buypower is a great value. 1000-1500 extra down is significant oomph even on a 30k vehicle

I love my Buy Power card and I have a low limit, but I still have almost $400 banked!
