Small Spree Attempt

Hi guys, happy saturday. Couple of datapoints to share with you all. I recently applied for BoA Cash Rewards, Capital One Savor, and Wells Fargo Propel due to me moving in the next couple weeks and wanted to put the upcoming spend towards some new subs.
Here were my stats prior:

5% Utilization
7 experian inquiries/12
2 transunion inquiries/12
724 FICO Experian 

First app was for the cash rewards card at BoA. Really like this card with the recent category refresh and bonus offer. Planning to double dip and get the travel rewards as well. No prior relationship with BoA but thought I still had a good shot. Unfortunately, I got instantly denied lol. Called recon, and was denied again there too. Really bummed about this one, probably shouldn't have been lazy and just opened a checking account prior to applying.

Next was the Capital One Savor. This one was a huge gamble with the 3 pulls but I was prequalified with a fixed apr, as well as showing a bit of credit utilization made me think there could be hope. Im happy I tried because I was approved for the minimum 5k limit. Sweet.

Last one was the new propel card. Felt good going in. WF is one of my primary banks and I was preapproved for this  a couple months ago. Should be easy right? Well unfortunately the app went pending and I started to second guess. Waited a couple hours and decided to call for more info. Turns out they just needed to verify my identity and I was approved for 8.7k. Woo!

Now it is time to cool off while all the reports adjust to the new address and new accounts.

Congrats! You’re tempting me to leave the garden after 6 months instead of 13 lol. But I need to keep a slot open so that I can be under 5/24 when I apply for CSP.

Have you had any luck with preapprovals? I think those can bypass 5/24. If nothing shows online you can go into a branch and ask and they might give a different answer. Otherwise just keep reminding yourself to be disciplined if you really want it.
