I tried my best to garden, but with paying for back to school shopping, plus goodness knows how many new clothes for two growing boys, it was obvious I was going to need to apply for new credit. I managed to garden for two months since my last credit card approval, so that's something, I guess.
My credit score is unfortunately declining due to back to school shopping and other financial emergencies since my girlfriend was furloughed for about three months. The cards picked up all the regular spend she would do with her paycheck, plus more since it was summertime and kids will eat when bored. Thankfully she has started back at work with great income coming in. I knew I needed another flat 2% cash back card. I've been using my PayPal Cashback MasterCard quite a bit and wanted to ease the spend on it. I have already been banking with SoFi, so it became a no-brainer to at least try to apply.
Got approved for $3,500! I was expecting $1,000 less than that, so I am super happy to have a decent SL, in my eyes. Considering this is my 8th credit card approval in 12 months is also a great thing! ![]()
DP: SoFi pulled Experian, which was 730 before applying.
