With your scores I wouldnt try.  The alleged shopping cart trick sometimes works for the intention on getting a possible higher limit

Re: Store Cards - APPROVED!

not a fluke. Smiley Happy I was able to do this with VS Angel Card. They only ask for the last 4 of your soc. Not the whole thing. Which would obviously prevent them from being able to do a hard pull. The only information that they have is the last 4, your address and your name.

It's pretty much like going to Capital One/American Express site and putting in the info to see if you're pre-approved for any of their products.

Re: Store Cards - APPROVED!

A great majority of Commenity (formerly WFFN) cards do the shopping cart trick.  It is very real and there is no HP!

I have Victoria Secret, Woman Within, The Avenue and Catherines all using the shopping cart trick.  Once you put something in your bag and go to check out, if you are pre-approved then you will see a pop-up box.  It asks for the last 4 or 5 digits of your SS# and it does an instant approval.

If you have to put in all of your information (i.e Name, address, full SS#) then this is going to be an HP.  Also you must be opted in to get the offers.  As a side note, I tried this for weeks before I finally got the offers.  I did crazy stuff like clearing my browsing history and cache thinking that this would help.  I don't know whether it helped or not but I got all of those offers the same day.

So the shopping cart trick DOES work.

Re: Store Cards - APPROVED!

I've gotten approved for three in the last month with no hard pull.  Onestopplus, Express and Victorias Secret But it was tricky at times.  I even had an email account and had  bought things from Express but had never gotten the pop up.  I realized that the credit card I was using was on a business account at a different address.  Once I changed it to my home, the next time I got the pop up.

I also tried on different browers.  Firefox seemed to work best.  Always clear your cookies in your preferences before you try it and make sure you do not have your pop ups blocked.  I've never had a hard pull but did notice that I got a soft each time on Equifax which is strange because I thought they pulled Experian.  I have a Chapter 13 from 2006 on Equifax.

I have monitoring with experian but can't figure out where to see the soft pulls on there - only the hard.  Does anyone know where to find that?
