My daughter is AU in a few cards, all less than 3 years with low util.
She decided to go for Amex BCE with the up to $450 welcome bonus ($250 for $1,000 in 3 months, up to $200 on Amazon at 10% for 6 months).
After a couple of days she got an email with the approval. She is a student and the limit is 60% of income. She only expected a $1,000 limit that she could grow to $3,000 after a few months. I guess she will not be able to increase the limit until her income increases.
It does help to put your child as AU.
EDIT: SL is $6,000
Congrats to your daughter! She got a very nice card. Let us know what her SL is! ![]()
Sorry, the SL is $6,000, I just added that info to original post.
Thanks.
Congratulations to your daughter! My mom put me as an AU on one of her accounts when I turned 18 and went to college, which really helped build my credit. (It actually still helps my scores today since she put me on her Discover card that's as old as I am.
