Long time lurker and first time poster. Over the last few years I have learned a lot from this board, and it has made a huge difference for me. Had to go BK7 in 08 due to business collapse in the recession. Went cash only until 2011, then started adding some rebuilder cards- Cap one $300 limit, cap one 1000 limit, barclays 1200 limit. Along this time my business that I had been working on began doing REALLY well. Income has grown substantially over the last 3 years, so many of my increases I have been able to do because of purchasing power and the ability to run a lot of money through cards. This really helped my Cap Ones (along with the EO) and I worked my limits on Cap One to $20,000 each card. Added a few other cards along the way, including a Spark Card (30,000 limit), and the flavor of the month Nasa (30k). Just got approved for a Delta Plat Amex a month ago (20,000 sl) and they found the member since date of 83 where I was an AU on my parents card- not reporting yet but should be a huge boost.
Today, after reading the Venture files, went and applied, even though I had been telling myself to keep CR as clean as possible for a boost on the Amex. $50k limit. Had wife apply (her credit has mirrored mine, and actually gotten better as I have tons of inquiries due to normal business accounts). She also got the $50k.
4 or 5 years ago when I was struggling to even pay for a tuna fish sandwich for dinner I would have never thought this was possible. Thank you to all who have contributed!
Two $50000 limits in one household! Who says lightning doesn't strike twice?
Major congrats to you!! I can't even fathom a $50000 limit. Wowwww...
Anyway, welcome to the forum!
And, only a couple days ago there were so many $50k doubters. Congrats on your progress and success!
Congratulations on your approvals!
Let's think about the $50,000 cash advance ![]()
Should have listed some data points-
Fico's for both wife and I range in the 734-755 range.
I selected spend of 30,000/month in "average cc spend"
We selected I "often" carry a balance, although we don't
We selected we would like checks, and would be interested in balance transfers.
Congratulations! You've come a long way!
