Congrats on your successful spree.....but it almost scares me that you might try for one more. Hasn't Amex been closely watching and cld'ing ppl? Enjoy and hopefully you can grow that stingy Amex.
A $1,000 starting limit from Amex is basically a "credit steps" approval. Given that you stated in another thread that your Experian score is 788, your low Amex approval is an indicator that you should stop applying and allow your current accounts to mature.

Thanks!
And that's interesting regarding Amex. I didn't know anything about that. It probably explains the low SL though.
I'm just happy I got my foot in the door, given they outright rejected me last year.

That makes sense. I'll probably take a break and let my scores build back up.
Though I figured it would be best to get the most "pressing" cards out of the way at once so they could age at the same time.
Yeah, they rejected me last Oct. Still no soup for me on the prequals. Glad you got in!!!!

As a follow up to my last thread regarding my Chase Freedom approval last week ($5.1K limit), I did in fact apply for a few more cards this morning. As promised, here were the results:
The Chase approval last week sticks out to me . Already had some good information relayed here, I'm just adding that since you got a Chase approval last week (Congrats) that's also one specific issuer I would not want to spook so soon. Come time for another SP and they start seeing 4 or 5 subsequent inquiries/new accounts, they may get jealous.
Congrats on the current success, I'd start the watering and let them grow now.
Congrats! That’s a highly successful spree. Don’t worry—the Amex will grow fast. I’d be cautious going for any more cards with all these approvals.
Congrats on your successful app spree! I would head over to the garden and let them grow. ![]()

Hello everyone!
https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/Chase-Freedom-Instant-Approval/td-p/5583779
As a follow up to my last thread regarding my Chase Freedom approval last week ($5.1K limit), I did in fact apply for a few more cards this morning. As promised, here were the results:
1. Bank of America Cash Rewards - Instant Approval - $6K SL
2. American Express Blue Cash Everyday - Instant Approval - $1K SL
3. Discover IT Cash Back - Instant Approval - $4K SL
And here are a few of my data points/observations:
*I was only pre-approved for the Discover IT Cash Back after checking on the website.
*American Express is f***ing stingy, lol.
*I do have an existing relationship with BofA (car note and checking account)
*I opted not to apply for any of the Capital One cards for now because of the triple credit report hit.
Now the debate is whether I should go for one more card. I'm thinking not, since I got the big ones out of the way. ***Maybe*** I will go for the Citi Double Cash Card if I do (since I have the Citi Simplicity Card with them with a $6.7K limit and that's been paid off).
Very nice haul. Congratulations.
It may may be that time to garden to let your new cards age.
