With the news recently of people getting CLI and upgraded to the Mastercard I decided to apply for the Target card a few days ago. Got the 7-10 message, assuming it was a denial. Today I get a surprise phone call from a phone number 800-318-8433 and she left a voicemail saying shes from Target and please call back. I call and they verify my info then text me a 5 digit code instantly and I tell them what it is. She then said something like they'll be sending me a card. I was pretty sure it meant I was approved, but wasn't sure. Told myself I'd just wait for a letter or a card in the mail, but a few hours later I couldn't take it anymore and decided to call back, and she said I was indeed approved and apologized and said the rep I talked to earlier should of been clearer on whether or not I was approved.
That was a nice surprise to get a phone call! I just assumed it was a denial with the 7-10 day message.
Not sure what my limit is, didn't ask and I don't really care too much. I live in the Minneapolis area where Target originally started and where it's headquartered, and there are vast amounts of Targets here. But with the recent news of people getting CLI and upgrades, if I get a $200-300 limit, hopefully it can grow to at least $1000 within a year, or maybe I can get lucky and get upgraded to the Mastercard eventually even if it takes a long time.
That's nice, congrats on your Target approval. Not all 7-10 days message end up in denial. In a lot of cases, it is verification. Now, it is time to enjoy the 5 %
Congrats to you !!!
