Congratulations on your RedCard and nice SL!
My SL was $300 when I opened my account in 2007 and is now $11000 MasterCard i had a CL $5000 when it upgraded to the MasterCard.

Congrats! DW and I LOVE our RedCard, and like you said, it has grown... initial limit $1000, now a $7000 MasterCard.
Congrats again, and use it well. It's a great card for Target purchases.
Thank you! How long and at what limit did it take for it to convert to a MasterCard?
Opened Jan or Feb 2019. Took nearly a year to get. From $1000-$2400, if I recall. Bear in mind, low AAoA, lots of new cards. Took another year for them to bump it to 7k. Other folks have gotten there sooner. Mine was nearly 2 years to the day. ZERO complaints with RedCard. Now, we spend REGULARLY and generally PIF or pay more than PIF, between $200-600/month depending on what's up that month.
Congrats- that is a pretty good starting limit.
In the past, the MC conversion happens when your limit reaches $4,000. Typically, it took 2-3 years to get the MC.
As mentioned, after the conversion, auto increases happened every six months.
Good luck.
Awesome congrats!!
Congratulations on your approval!!
Thank you everyone for the input and congrats!

Congrats on the approval!

I've had mine for 6 years. Started at a $300 limit and was only a store card. Since then it was converted to a Mastercard and now has am $8,000 CL. Interesting thing about this card is you can't apply to make it MC and you can't request a CLI. Both are completely up to them and they'll give you them randomly whenever they feel like it.
Congratulations on your Target RedCard approval![]()
