Last I checked in (4/2/18) I had been approved for a Discover card with a $2400 limit (even after burning them 2 decades ago). I had applied for a Cap 1 card the same night and thought I was denied. But it turns out I was approved with a limit of $3000. The Cap 1 card hasn't yet shown up on my credit report, but with the Discover card, I've already seen significant gains in my credit score as you can see in my signature. I was so pleased with those two approvals, I immediately went into gardening mode. Tonight, I legitmately needed underwear, so I was on Victoria's Secret site with no intention of using credit at all, but when I was ready to check out, I got the soft pull pre-qualified (for $500) notice. I immediately signed into Myfico to see what the thinking was on whether to take the chance or not. So I did. Indeed, it was a soft pull and I was approved (Note, I also burned VS 2 decades ago in college). Okay, I am really, truly going into gardening mode now and hope these three approvals will continue to reap good credit score rewards. I would love to be in or near the 700 club by the end of the year. Wish me luck! And a million thank yous to this fine group.
