I got three secured credit cards when I turned 18. That was just over three years ago.

Wells Fargo: $5000

US Bank: $5000

B.O.A.: $4900

Today I went ahead and applied for a capital one card. I went for the quicksilver card. After about what seemed as five minutes of processing it approved it. I got the signature visa at 0% intro APR until February 2016 and then 12.9% after that.

It gave me a starting limit of $20,000!  (Little Shocking)

I then said what the heck and went for the Venture card. I applied for that and in just about 20 seconds it approved it. Also got the signature visa version at 12.9 APR.

Starting Limit of $15,000!  (More Shocking)

Anyways I guess I’m wondering if that’s normal for get approved for two cards with such high limits back to back, $35,000 between the two. Or will they catch it somehow?

Should I try for any more at a different bank or call it quits for now?

CONGRATS.  Totally normal with Capital One.  I got two back to back (total 25k)  and then waited 31 days and did it again for two cards (20k total).

Congrats.  My DW received a QS Visa siggy with a 15K initial limit, but it's not shocking because she has pristine credit.
