This is my second card with US Bank as I also have a Cash+ and they denied me the Cash+ multiple times until I didn't open a new card for a year so I thought this was worth sharing to see if any others have noticed them being less strict.
How many new accounts did you have in the past 6 months? I have 3 US Bank cards. For the first one, I waited until I was 0/12 before applying. The second and third cards were approved after I reached 0/6. I believe that their underwriting becomes more lenient (for approvals and starting limits) after they have at least several months of experience with you as a customer.
Both my new accounts were in the last 6 months.
That's an interesting data point for us. It goes a bit against the "general consensus" on these forums. Congrats on your good results!
