@Titans84 wrote:I applied for this card early Sunday (09/04) morning. As expected the app went into review. I checked the status on Monday and Tuesday with it still being in review for both days. That wasn't alarming as Monday was a holiday. This morning (09/06) the status changed to declined. Got transferred to a rep with underwriting and she confirmed the decline was due to the available overall credit (55.5k). I asked for reconsideration due to my history of on-time payments and long-term relationship. The rep re-sent the app to be reviewed and let me know that it could be a few days before a decision could be made. Approx. 3 hours later I received the approval email with a $15,000 SL. That pushes me just over 70k in available credit with US Bank. I also have a 25k Max Cash Preferred through Elan that was visible to the underwritter.
This was both the first time I was not approved for a card and received a successful recon. Happy with the results. I also applied for the Chase Freedom Flex on the same day and was approved. That app is not included in the DPs listed.
DPs:
SL: $15,000
APR: Not Yet Known
TU8: 847
0/6, 0/12, 3/24
1% utilization
Congratulations on your nice US Bank Altitude Reserve Credit Card Approval!

Thanks @firefox100

@Essentialist wrote:Nice! Congrats on the approval. I think US Bank has some really nice offering on their CCs. I just wish they would remove those minimum redemptions and perhaps the option to pool points between all the altitude lineup.
Thanks @Essentialist
I too wished that they would pool points under the Altitude umbrella. Would only inhance these good cards.

Thanks @IsFiveCardsEnough
