I was bad. I slipped. Looking for a bank to park some cash in, got distracted by US Bank's CC's. Clicked on pre-qual. Filled in info. Showed 3 CC's. All with APR's which from this forum indicated pre-approval. App'd. They pulled TU (got an email alert seconds after app). Next page asks to accept or decline offer, odd, never seen that on a CC app. Says approved for $7,500. Weak SL. Called recon since it was an instant approval and an UW would likely see my other cards are $20k, but she said it would require another HP. Not one to take a HP on a CLI, I declined. Looks like I'll have to give it 6 months of usuage and see how their auto CLI treats me. ![]()

9 inq, USB is 10th inq on TU (dropped 6 pts) 2 are dropping off this month, 4 more in march
Congratulations on your approval!

Congrats! It’s actually a good SL for US Bank. I don’t know if you had a relationship with them prior to this, but trust me: the SL could have been a lot lower. Like, say, only 1k.... lol

You got an awesome SL with US Bank. I got $1,300. Many others only get $500 or $1,000.

at the end of my massive "App O Rama" spree (Late December / Early January)
I had 20 EX and 15 EQ HP Inquires, I knew I had hit The wall, when I looked at TU HP's after The Smoke had Cleared,
i seen probably like 4-5 HP's in (2) years, i knew I had a chance for something that would only pull TU,
I went to Hardpulls database and with a very large magnifying glass i seen Barclays & USBank TU HP California,
couple others, but i already had their cards. I pulled the trigger one last time. (well 4X)
apped for 4 cards, denied 2, they removed 1 HP without me asking.
Approved

after reading this thread, i was bummed no $7500 SL![]()
but in light of $500. $1000, $1300 SL's .... well now, I am pretty stoked!![]()
I also opened a Checking Account with them afterwards. I am not happy with Wells Fargo
and that's Being "FSR"
I am told if you are a Banking Customer, you get "pref·er·en·tial" treatment.
USBank is somewhat conservative in my humble opinion.
Congrats to the OP on The $7500 SL

Congrats to the OP on The $7500 SL
$9,000 between 2 cards? I'd say they weren't too conservative with you there. I did open a Gold Checking about a month after I got my USB Cash 365 Amex. I'm hoping the card will grow. I won't app for another USB until I get the balance paid to $100 or less. (0% purchases until 2/2020)

Congrats OP. I'll say that US Bank is conservative as well. I have 5 cards with them now. Cash+ @ 7,000; Kroger @ 1,500; Platinum @ 1,500; Flex Perks+ @ 7,000, and a brand new (Elan) Fidelity Visa @ 21,000. I've had the Cash= since 2014 which was originally approved for 2,500 and recon'd to 5,000 where it say all these years until a couple of months ago they gave me a 2k auto cl. I've had the Kroger and Platinum for a couple of years and a cli is always a no go. I just got the Flex Perks+ about 3-4 months ago with a sl of 7,000. I was very surprised to get the Fidelity at such a high limit out the gate.
